Tab Trade - What It Is
Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the well-known broker.
His background matters. It means the founder knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. It is better than a random name you cannot trace.
They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.
What you can trade: forex, indices, gold, silver, commodities, equities, crypto, ETFs. A wide spread. For a broker that is a few months old, that coverage is solid.
The Software
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Two major platforms from the same login. Most brokers pick one platform. Having both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, EAs, huge user base. If you have traded on MetaTrader before, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders prefer it after comparing.
FIX API is available for bots but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is apparently in the works. That will be a good addition when it arrives.
What You Pay
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Straightforward. $0 to start. Good for people who want simple pricing.
Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most brokers that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. TabTrade has no minimum.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX API, faster fills, tailored rates. Not relevant to most retail traders. Ignore this one unless you run serious volume.
How Fast Are the Fills
The execution is the area where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. The average platform quote 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? For short-term trading, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. The point is the setup is serious. That says what kind of broker this is.
Pair those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package is strong. Hardly anyone in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.
Regulation
Now, the detail that requires honesty. TabTrade is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation makes you uncomfortable, look elsewhere. There are tier-1 alternatives out there.
However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. But inform how you think about it.
What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal is worth it depends on you.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade offers a welcome bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Usual deposit match. You deposit, they credit extra capital. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Check the terms before you commit.
